Sunesh

Privacy Policy · Last updated 12 September 2026

Sunesh has no account to create, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. There is no Sunesh server: nothing you do in the app is sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to arrive.

What stays on your device

Your saved places, photo spots, plans, reminders, measured horizon points and settings are stored on the device itself, in a container shared with the app's widgets and its Apple Watch app. They are included in your own iPhone backups and nowhere else. Deleting the app deletes them.

What leaves the device, and where it goes

If you turn location access off you can still use the app by choosing a place by hand. Light and moon times are calculated on the device and work without a connection.

Camera

The camera is used live, while you hold it: to place the sun or moon in your frame, to measure the skyline in front of you, and to read the light. No photograph is recorded, kept or sent anywhere by Sunesh, and it does not ask for access to your photo library.

Notifications

Reminders and light alerts are scheduled by the app on your own device. No push server is involved and no notification passes through us.

Files you import or export

KML and GPX files are read and written through the system file picker, in the location you choose. Sunesh does not send them anywhere.

Tracking

None. Sunesh does not track you across apps or websites, does not use the advertising identifier, and contains no analytics or attribution code of any kind.

Children

Sunesh collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
